ORIGIN/BIO:
Zilla Jr. differs from his parents in some ways. He is the same size as the original Zilla and is extremely fast and maneuverable. He also possesses several new notable abilities, including a fast healing factor, a bit tougher hide, and the ability to fire a radiation ray from his mouth, which is green in color and resembles a flamethrower more than Godzilla's Atomic Ray. His back plates, neck frills and eyes flash just before he uses it.

In one episode Godzilla finds a mate in a mutated komodo dragon, named Komodithrax. The dragon later lays an egg, implying this Zilla reproduces sexually, not asexually as Zilla did. Zilla is also much more aggressive than his parent; rather than fleeing from an attack, he will usually, like the original Zilla, incapacitate or destroy his attackers. He is intelligent, and shows the ability to make moral decisions, shown in the episode "Deadloch" where he first fight against the Loch Ness monster, then later aids her in recovering her stolen baby and releasing the Fire Foxes form the Lizard Slayers.

Zilla also shows some planning and strategy in his fighting style, though this can be abandoned for sheer savagery and straight forward attacking if he is angered enough. He has even shown to have sense of humor, splashing members of the HEAT team with water in a playful fashion. When the Tachyons invaded in the Monster Wars three-part episode, he showed that he was slightly more resistant to mind control than other monsters. Junior’s territorial and protective instincts mean he will not allow a potential threat to just walk away. He has been seen taking on himself an attack that is directed towards humans.

In the third season Zilla finds a new mate in a more evolved komodo dragon named Komodosaurus and even a little brother in small creature similar to Rodan, in a homage to the brotherhood of the Hensei Rodan and Godzilla Jr.

In the fight against the Organism (a homage to Orga) Zilla developed a new power, dubbed the Berserk, were a once dormant gene, give junior an unexpected strength and speed. In the berserk mode his atomic breath is much stronger, the flamethrower resembles more the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's attack White Lightning, in shape and strength. In the fight against the Destroyers, (a homage to Destoroyah),aggregate mutant crustacean spawned from a fail experimental oxygen-based weapon an radioactive explosion caused Junior body temperature to rise up into Heat Zilla, (a homage to Burning Godzilla), by blasting the Destroyers, he used all of his energy, and regain his health before he would past out for three days. In the “Final Wars” saga he fights the Cyber-Monster (a homage to Gigan), the XenoDragon, (a homage to Monster X and Dorats), and the Kaiser XenoDragon, (a homage to King Ghidorah), and then he and his brotherhood left for site omega were they were not seen by humans for over a decade.
