Design Changes
The arms have undergone a bit of a exactly like Yoshito Asari included on one of his original conceptual illustrations for Shamshel. Also note that Shamshel's eye spots are now red. Some times the original was known as the Angel of Dildoes, I change it to something more insect-like, as menacing as possible.
In Rebirth, there is an exposed chest plate. Shamshel's legs now all attach around the Core and, rather than retract during battle, they flail about wildly like a bug trying to get back on its feet.
Also, new to the Rebirth continuity the core is blue to contrast with the red angel and ha an original bone mask like other angels. Other changes include the redder color, with a glittering and different pink abdomen.
When Shamshel dies, the flesh puffs up and the most of Angel explodes in a rain of blood, leaving behind the angels spine, chest plate with all and legs, attached impaled in the Eva’s Prog. Knife and the whips impaled in Eva-01. No Shamshel core is collected this time, In Rebirth, the angel is destroyed by an angered Gabriel, there for, no Super Solenoid sample, is colleted, for now.

I like your version of this angel. He's more insect-like, which I'm pretty sure he was supposed to resemble in the first place, yet at the same time he seems a little snake-like. I think it's the head which does that mainly.
