Angel attacks

Seven nights ago a creature appeared in Mt. Fuji...

Today a strange, gigantic creature cruises underwater in a submerged city. A group of tanks with their cannon aimed at the city

A state of emergency has been declared and people have fled to shelters, leaving the region deserted. Ikari Shinji, recently arrived in a nearby town, has remained above ground waiting for Misato Katsuragi, who is due to pick him up.

All normal lines are out of order due to the state of special emergency.

“Out of order... I shouldn't have come...”-Shinji Ikari says

“Looks like you should be some where else aren’t you”-a boy said behind Shinji

“Ahh…”-Shinji jumped a step back

“My apologies I didn’t mean to startle, you my friend”-the boy said. He had shoulder length black raven hair and blue eyes, he definitely looks caucasian.

“Its OK”-Shinji replied

“Waiting for someone”-the dark hair boy asked

“Yeah this one...”Shinji replies handling a picture of Nerv's Tactical Operations division Misato Katsuragi.

The boy looked at a photo of her, it is a humorously inappropriate photo of her wearing cutoff jeans that reveal her thighs, leaning forward in a tank top revealing excessive cleavage, winking and giving a the V-sign. She also left a lipstick kiss on it. The Japanese writing on it translates as “To Shinji: I'll be picking you up, so wait for me, okay?”

Misato also punctuated the photo with a highly inappropriate message, "Check these out!!" with an arrow pointing to her barely covered breasts.

“Get a load of that you lucky bastard, and she is going to pick you up”-the the dark hair boy said

“She is supposed to...”-Shinji says-“I may not be able to meet her. Can't be helped--I'll head to the shelter”

A sudden strong wind blows

“Uh...”-Shinji notices a teenage girl who seems to be observing him; who mysterious vanishes as quickly as she appeared.

“...something wrong?”- the dark hair boy asked

“... Nothing”-Shinji replies

Suddenly the ground shakes violently

The dark hard boy narrowed his eyes-“Damn it, its here”

When Shinji and the boy turned to see a giant creature begins stomping through the area and emerges from behind a nearby foothill.

The JSSDF air force begins to attack the Angel with missiles and rockets. After advancing past the tank battalion stationed on the shore, Sachiel was knocked back by a missile barrage from VTOL craft- possibly simply in surprise. The Angel soon got used to the attacks and didn't even flinch. Instead of behaving like a stereotypical "rampaging giant monster", it shot down a VTOL that had attacked it with the attitude of swatting a fly. The ships are destroyed by with Shinji on the ground and in the thick of it.

“GET DOWN.”-the dark hair boy shouted, as he knocking Shinji down flat on the ground as a VTOL craft slammed into a building nearby.

Shinji is nearly killed in the ensuing battle, but is rescued in the nick of time as Misato arrives in her car and rescues him

“Sorry to have kept you waiting”...-Misato

“Misato I presume?”-The dark hair boy asked dryly as he pulled Shinji up off the ground.

“You presume correctly, get in.”-Misato frowned as the kid tossed a small bag in. One, she had never been informed that she was picking up two children, two, he seemed entirely too calm despite the obvious wide eyed shock at what he had just seen. Misato hit the gas as soon as the door closed.

The dark hair boy glanced back out the back window-“Care to explain what’s with the hell is that supposed to be?”

“That is an Angel.”-Misato explained -“Hey I don’t name them.”-She defended as she weaved her Alpine through a cloud of falling debris.

“I didn’t say a thing!”- The dark hair boy replied glancing back at.

“…Are you serious Misato, that thing is an angel? You mean the kind in the bible right? ”-At this point, Shinji was a little confused on what Misato called the creature.

“Well,”-Misato paused-“that’s the designation NERV gave them.”

The attacker used with a huge A.T. Field assisted leap similar to limited flight and destroy several houses as well as many of the JSSDF vehicles. A massive foot came down flat on the helpless craft

Back at NERV Headquarters, the three U.N. Generals in charge of the operation are baffled that their weapons have no effect.

“The identified moving object is still approaching our position”-a Female Voice said over the intercom

“We have a visual image of the target. Transferring it to the main screen”- a male voice said

“It's been 15 years...”-Fuyutsuki says

“Yes... The Angels are back”-Gendo responds

“It cannot be stopped by Air Force firepower Target is still intact. It's continuing toward Tokyo-3”- a female Voice said

A barrage of Missile attacks rain down on the creature to no effect, as the creature walks through the destroyed city.

“Total war! Commit all divisions at Atsugi and Iruma Bases to the battle!”-Sub Commander A said

“The tank battalion has been wiped out. Guided missiles and cannon shells have no effect on it...”-Sub Commander B said

“It's useless!  With such limited firepower, we can do nothing !So it's protected by an AT-Field, as we thought?”-Fuyutsuki says to them

“Yes. Normal weapons have no effect on Angels”-Gendo adds, then picks up phone and answered-“Understood, sir. I'll deploy it as previously arranged”.-he says the voice on the other side of the phone

Their last resort is immediately executed, resulting in the detonation of an N² mine over the target. Misato looks through the field glasses as the ships retreat and releases the worst.

“Wait, it can't be... They're gonna use an N2 bomb?! Get down!”-she yelled as she covers Shinji and the dark hair boy

The JSSDF detonates an N² Mine......but the Angel survives. Their premature victory cheers are quickly silenced as the target, though damaged, remains intact and begins regenerating. With the U.N. Forces all but defeated and their attacks proven embarrassingly ineffective, the U.N. Generals concede the operation to NERV Commander Gendo Ikari.

Citing with confidence that this is exactly why NERV was created, Gendo accepts the task.

Unlike the Generals before him, Gendo is fully aware that his target is of a race known as the Angels. This particular creature, Sachiel, is the Third Angel. Although he has a weapon capable of challenging this, Gendo still needs a pilot.

In the meantime, Misato and Shinji near the overturned car, out over the overpass they were on, Shinji looked at the mushroom cloud that loomed where the Angel was last standing. Dust, smoke, and ash covered any sign of the angel’s corpse if there was one.

“Are you all right?”-Misato asked him

“Yeah, but there's something crunchy in my mouth.”-Shinji says

“That's fine. Well... you ready?”-Misato she asks

Their first attempt to tip the car back into position is unsuccessful

“Sorry, I guess I’m not strong enough”-Shinji apologizes

“You’re supposed to be man and you can’t simply move one car… you’re mother fucking disgrace”-the dark hair boy says and he turns to reverse kick the car back into position.

“Thanks a lot. Good job”-Misato says astonished-“So kids, Call me Misato. Please to meet you, Shinji Ikari”-she says

“Me, too”-Shinji replies

“And you are…”-she addresses the dark hair boy who is inside the car sand succeeds in starting it.

“You dudes coming or what?”-he asks ssiting in the car

In New Tokyo-3, and begin their descent into the Geo Front. The JSSDF, admitting their ineffectiveness, transfer responsibility for the Angel's destruction to Gendo Ikari and Nerv.

“Condition of target?”-the Commander-in-Chief asks

“Undetermined due to radio wave interference”-a female voice echoes

“It was such a massive explosion, it must have been destroyed”-Sub Commander A says

“ Sensors again operational An energy reaction at the center of the explosion! Visual image restored”-staff says

“What the hell?! Oh...! That was our trump card... Unbelievable...  It's a monster!”-the Commanders say

The Injured Angel stands in the plain regenerating itself

“It's regenerating itself, as expected”-Fuyutsuki says

“If it didn't, it would be useless as an independent weapon”-Gendo adds

The image of the angel in ruptured when the satellite camera was hot down by the beast thanks to its new eye beam capabilities.

“it can upgrade its operational parameters.” Fuyutsuki noted.

“And its also getting smarter.” Gendo added, noting how the Angel had not allowed any of the other aircraft to approach. It wasn’t going to let them drop another N2 mine. Even IT hadn’t been fully immune to having one dropped on its head.

“It should renew its attack any minute now. . .”-Fuyutsuki said

“You have command of this operation from this point on. We'll observe how you handle the situation”- the Commander-in-Chief said

“Yes, sir”-Gendo replies

“Ikari, considering our available weaponry, I must admit that we have no effective defense against the target”-the Sub Commander B said

“And you are confident of defeating it?”- the Commander-in-Chief asks

“It's for that reason Nerv exists”-Gendo says

“We expect much from you.”-the Commander-in-Chief says

“The U.N. Troops can't help us. What are you going to do?”-Fuyutsuki asks his superior

“I'll activate Evangelion Unit-01”-Gendo breaks the silent

“Unit-01? But we have no pilot”-Fuyutsuki says worried

“No problem--another is being delivered”-Gendo says to his former sensei.

Misato takes the time to introduce Shinji and the dark hair boy to NERV, the secret U.N. organization where both she and Shinji’s father work. Misato drives her broken car while making a phone call.

“Sure. Don't worry. His protection is my highest priority. Prepare a train car for us--a linear one, please… Right. It was my idea to meet him, so I'll take full responsibility for him. 'Bye”-Misato to whoever she was talking on the phone.

“This is terrible! I just finished restoring my car... It's a wreck now... 33 loan payments left... And the repair costs...! Even worse, my only good clothes have been ruined...”-Misato whines

“Uh…Misato-san...”-Shinji starts

"And I was in such a good mood! Damn..."

“Excuse me, Earth to Misato...?!”-the dark hair boy snaps her off her whinnying frenzy

“Eh, what?”-Misato jumps

“You sure it was all right to do that?"-Shinji pointed at the Batteries which she seems to have stolen

“Ah, it's fine, it's fine. It was during an emergency... We can't do anything if the car doesn't run. Anyway, I AM an international officer, even if I don't seem like it.”-Misato says

“That doesn't seem like a very good excuse to me, sounds more like felony."-the dark hair boy says

“You think so...?”-Misato asks

“I say so. You're childish for your age, aren't you?”-he replies

“Hmm, are you angry? Sorry, I'm sorry. It'd only be natural because you're a boy”-Misato says

Before they know it however, the two find themselves lost, wandering in circles through the maze-like complex. Coming to their rescue is Dr. Ritsuko Akagi

Shinji suddenly found himself out of the car, following Misato around as if he jumped through time.

“Look I got too go kid, I have get to my shelter, see ya around”-the dark hair boy said as he dashed away.

An eternity passed as Misato led Shinji in circles, unfortunately due to Misato already frustrated with her map Shinji couldn’t summon the courage he needed to say a word. He just silently hoped someone would find them, and that person had a sense of direction. Needless to say, his wish came true in the form in an attractive blond in a one piece swimsuit and a lab coat overtop. She didn’t look happy either.

“Did you get lost again?! Jeez, Misato, how do you still get lost here! We’re on a tight deadline here!”-The Ritsuko Akagi scolded Misato.

“I’m sorry Ritsuko that I’m late, we had a couple mishaps on the way here.”-Misato laughed nervously.

Ritsuko face palmed, she then noticed Shinji-“Is this the Third Child Misato?”

“Yes, according to Marduck's report, he's the "Third Child"-Misato

“Nice to meet you”-Ritsuko greets him

Embarrassed Shinji barely mange to say-“Ah... yes”

“He's like his father... neither are very sociable”-Misato jokes

After scolding Misato, leads them down into Central Dogma, Shinji pondered on those words while following the two bickering women completely oblivious to his surroundings until he noticed he could not see a thing.

“So,”-Shinji took a deep breath-“is this what my father was working on?”

“Repeat, red alert! All hands to battle stations! Prepare for ground interception of the enemy.” A voice sounded on the intercom

“You hear that?”-Misato asks they go up on an elevator.

“This is serious”-Ritsuko says

“So, how is Unit-00?”-Misato asks

“It's outfitted with B-type equipment. It's being de-frozen and prepared”-Ritsuko says

“Will it really work? I'd heard you hadn't managed that yet.”-Misato argues

“The probability of it working is 0.000000001 percent. "09 system" seemed like a good name for it”-Ritsuko jokes

“You mean it won't work, don't you?”-Misato asks worried

“Don't be rude! The chance isn't zero”-Ritsuko replies

“It's still only a number. Anyway, saying "It doesn't work at all..." won't be much of an excuse”-Misato says angrily

They jump on a boat going on the red water, only a line of light coming through the entrance, a sudden blackout

“Ah, it's pitch dark”-Shinji says

Just as his eyes were getting adjusted to the darkness the lights flared to life temporally robbing his sight. When his eyes came to he was met with two staring back at him. These two however belong to head covered in purple armor. Shinji heavily gasped, stumbling slightly before he composed himself staring at the big (ugly!) face of an Evangelion Unit ppears before Shinji as lights snap on.

“Ah, a face... A giant robot...”-Shinji

Shinji is introduces to the synthetic life-form called Evangelion Unit-01.

“This is the Multi-purpose Humanoid Fighting Machine EVANGELION, which humanity has finally developed”-Ritsuko tells him

“So,”-Shinji took a deep breath-“this is what my father was been working on?”

“Correct!”-Gendo’s voice echoed Standing above the giant construct is Shinji's estranged father, Gendo Ikari.”-now Move out

“Move out?! Unit-00 is being ready... You aren't kidding. You mean that you'll activate Unit-01?”-snaps

“We have no other choice”-Ritsuko says

“Wait a sec! We can't let Rei board it. We have no pilots”-Misato growls

“A spare already has been delivered, Major.”- Ritsuko countered.

“Are you serious?”-Misato asks

“Shinji, you will get into it”-Ritsuko says to the boy

“And even in Rei's case, it took a full seven months for her to synchronize with her Eva”-Misato adds

“You can only sit in it and try. We would never expect more from you”-Ritsuko says trying to easy Shinji despair.

“At present, stopping the Angel's attack has top priority. Even if there is little potential for synchronizing with Eva, we have no choice but to have someone board it. Understand, Captain Katsuragi?-Ritsuko yells at Misato

“You may be right...”-Misato finally acknowledges the situation

“Father, why did you call me?”-Shinji calls out

“For exactly the reasons you think”-Gendo coldly replies

“Then, you mean I should get into it and fight that thing I saw?”-Shinji asks him

“Correct.”- Gendo replies

Now, Shinji is not the sharpest tool in the shed but he can put two and two together pretty fast-“You want me to pilot that…thing, don’t you. Well sorry to disappoint you father, but you can’t drag me out away from my life to send me on a suicide mission because you said so!”-These words uttered by Shinji were laced with the deadliest of venoms.

“I called you now because I need you now”-Gendo

“Why me...?”-Shinji asks on the verge of bursting to tears.

“Because no one else can”-Gendo replies-“If you're going to do this, don't waste time. Otherwise, leave!”-Gendo says

After being abandoned by his father nearly ten years ago, Shinji is shocked to learn that the only reason his father called for him was that he finally found a use for Shinji; to pilot Evangelion Unit-01 and defeat Sachiel.

“Shinji... Why did you come here? Don't run away, not from your father and, above all, not from yourself.”-Misato tells him.

After a heated exchange with his father, Shinji finally refuses to cooperate. Gendo in turn calls for the reset of Evangelion Unit-01 dismissing his son as unusable. Never the less the words Shinji spoke did not seem to affect Gendo at all.

Repressing an exasperating sigh, Gendo raised his wrist to his face-“Rei--wake her”

“Is she available?”-Fuyutsuki asks

“She's not dead at least”-Gendo coldly replies

Shinji is relieved, until he sees a young girl his age being wheeled in by nurses. Minutes later the medical team arrives with the stretcher carrying the “First”. Due to unfortunate circumstances, most of her petite frame was covered in blood splotched bandages. Shinji watches in disbelief as the girl, clearly injured and in pain, struggles to get off her stretcher. Her only uncovered crimson eye greatly contrasts with her currently shaggy mop of azure hair, and her pale skin.

Due to the Angel rampaging up above, a tremor shook the EVA cages. This tremor caused some of the medical team to fall into the bakelite below, and the First to fall off her stretcher. Upon striking the ground below she screamed in pain forcing Shinji to awaken from his depressive slumber and ran to cover the girl.

As New Tokyo-3 and NERV Headquarters tremble amidst the continuing assaults of the Angel, debris suddenly comes crashing down on Shinji.

To everyone's disbelief, the unpiloted and unpowered Evangelion Unit-01 suddenly breaks free of its restraints to protect him.

“Eva moved! It tore off the binding attached to its right arm.”-a male voice said over the intercom

”That's impossible! The entry plug has not yet been inserted. It can't move!”-Ritsuko says

“It reacted without the interface... Or rather, did it protect him...? He can do it!”-Misato cheers

At her side in a flash, Shinji got her into position to pick her up-“Are you alright?”-He timidly asked.

Gendo smiles. Shinji holds Rei who is suffering in agony. With his hands stained with her blood, Shinji reluctantly agrees to pilot Evangelion Unit-01.

“Don't run away, don't run away, don't run away, don't run away, don't run away... I'll do it... I'll get into it”-Shinji repeats to himself- “I’ll pilot it”-no one heard him the first time-“I will pilot it!” Shinji all but shouted the adults heard him that time.

“Freezing process has finished. The binding on the right arm has been repaired. Position is correct for docking in the cage.”-the staff said over the intercom

“The termination signal plug has been discharged. Inserting entry plug”-Maya said and the cylindrical entry plug similar the one where Rei met her freak accident was inserted in the Eva’s back-“the plug has been secured. Begin the first connection”

Now sitting in the cylindrical entry plug, Shinji was adjusting to the controls of the plug using deep breaths to keep him from having a panic attack, his hands death-gripping the controls. The jolt snaps him from his concentration as the entry plug is inserted into the gargantuan beast. The sound of locks clamping echoed throughout the entry plug.

Shinji takes another deep breath to calm him, didn’t do well though since the Ritsuko’s voice made him jump a little.

“Commence LCL injection into the plug.”-As soon as she said that, red goo-like oozed into the plug.

“Don’t worry it’s called Link Connection Liquid, and it’s a highly oxygenated liquid, so it’s breathable,”-responded the Doctor.

Shinji finally begins to breath inside, but the gooey liquid stinks-“How disgusting, Makes me feel sick”-he says

Which in turn, earned him this statement said by Misato-“Suck it up, you’re a man right?!”

Ritsuko walked up to a nearby terminal with a techie working on it. The terminal itself is a myriad of graphs and a touch-screen keyboard.

“All the procedures done?” Ritsuko asked. In turn she got a nod from the tech confirming her answer, so she asked another question,” Well, how his sync ratio with the EVA?”

“The data is uploading into the system now it should be a sec. Here! His sync is…you won’t believe this. 41.57%! All harmonics values are normal. Everything is under control. ”-Maya said

Shinji synchronizes with the Evangelion Unit-01 without effort, though at this point he is unaware of what that actually means.

“Fascinating, this kid’s a natural at piloting EVA, it looks like we have a chance to win after all.”-Ritsuko said with a hint of glee.

Given her cue Misato said to the bridge crew, “Prepare to launch EVA unit one!”

The techies did their thing as the giant mecha moved into position onto the catapults. More sound of locks disengaging as the sound of an alarm similar to one using in a nuclear missile launch. Inside the plug Shinji’s confidence shattered as his brain came up with one question he could not answer.

“Umm…how do I pilot this?”-Shinji asked.

Ritsuko responded first-“Shinji the EVA is purely thought controlled; it is an extension of your body. So just concentrate on walking first.”

“Okay.”-Shinji replies

“Okay. Eva Unit-01 to the launching pad”-Maya informed-“Course clear. All green Evangelion is ready to be launched.

“Okay. Not that it matters, right?”-Misato asks her commander

“Of course it does. We have no future unless we beat the Angels”-Gendo say coldly

“Ikari, are you truly satisfied with this?”-Fuyutsuki asks  to which Gendo Ikari responds in silence

“Launch!”-Misato yells

The Evangelion is then launched up from the Geofront to a road on the surface, into the path of the Angel. The two stand opposing each other. Shortly after, he faces off with Sachiel on the streets of New Tokyo-3.

Eva is ready for the battle against Sachiel. Shinji is in Evangelion Unit-01.

“Are you ready, Shinji-kun?”-Misato asks him

“Ah, yes”-Shinji responds

“Final safety lock Release!”- Misato yells-“Evangelion Unit One, lift off!”

“Shinji-kun, think only of walking now”-Misato says to him on the intercom

The first step of the Evangelion is successful, but Shinji's luck runs out when he has trouble walking, and Evangelion Unit-01 ends up flat on its face.

“Shinji-kun, come on! Hurry, stand as fast as you can”-Misato yells as Shinji sees the angel looming over him

Sachiel attempts to grabs the giant construct by the head, when suddenly out of nowhere another angel, humanoid dragon-like with black armor skin and golden stripes appears and grabs Sachiel by the arm and kicked the rampaging beast away.

“Another Angel”-Ritsuko asks astonished

“Great... just what we need now”-Misato growls

Sachiel recovers and advances, the new black and golden angel rampages but Sachiel counters with a blast from its eyes and knocked the black angel off its feet. Sachiel grabs its so called brother raising it off the ground.

The black angel and golden trashes trying to break free, But Sachiel has a good grip on it and breaks its left arm, rendering it useless.

With the black angel in shock for the pain, Sachiel presses the attack, using a energy enhanced spear on its forearm to subsiquently hammer at the opposing Angel, cracking the brain case of the angel and piercing its right eye. The Angel pierced through the head, and hurled against a building pinned against the side of a building, with blood gushing out of its head.

“Shinji just, finished getting up”-Misato yells.

“Get Rei ready, put her in the Eva 00, and launch her to battle”-Gendo orders

“But sir Rei in injured, and...”-Misato tries to argue

“THAT IS AN ORDER...”-Gendo yells, In NERV, Gendo is god, so nobody questions him.

“...Yes sir”-Misato reluctantly agrees

Rei, injured and all was put, in the newly defrosted Unit 00, and sent to battle, being a lonely and socially withdrawn child she complied without hesitation.

Sachiel advances and Rei, appear from the ground, but as she is released, Sachiel blast her away.

“Rei!”-Shinji screams

Shinji was angry and prepared to charge against Sachiel, but is blasted way in a building, a burning sensation is all that he feels and he holds his chest in pain.

“Shinji, don’t!”-Misato yells

“Chest damaged, extent unknown!”-Shigeru yells

“Control nerves snapping one after another, Trouble maintaining activity!”-Maya yells

“Cut the circuits! Stop them!”-Ritsuko orders

“No use! The signal is refused. It can't be received!”-Maya yells

“No response from pilots”-Makoto yells

“What's the status?”-Misato worriedly asks

“Unit One and Unit Zero are totally silent.”-Shigeru responds

“Misato!”-Ritsuko calls at her friend

”So much for this time... Stop the operation. Pilot's protection has top priority. Eject the plugs by force!”-Misato orders

“Impossible. It's totally damaged”-Maya informs

“Oh my good, were doom”-Misato cries

For a moments, Tokyo-3 stood still, fear filled the atmosphere. Al hope seemed lost… However, the fallen angel's left eye flashes… then went into berserker rage.

The angelic creature, shook its head violently, roaring in rage, a cloud of condensation visibly exits its mouth.

“No! It can't be alive!”-Maya said in fear

“It can't be...”-Misato aid in fear

“Its alive still?”—Ritsuko asked herself

The creature roared again as it leaped from its sitting position and made a somersaulting drop-kick against Sachiel, bend back the monster by the middle of its back. It forced the enemy down and started beating it with its fists.

The snarling beast lashed out with its claws of its good arm grabs Sachiel’s face and jumps back using Sachiel as platform ripping off half of Sachiel's ossified face.

The black angel landed on the streets forcing the debris to rise above his ankles, his back facing Sachiel. And turned to face Sachiel

“Unbelievable”-Fuyutsuki commented

Shinji rose from the ground and face the battle... but Rei cannot even get her Unit to respond

“Eva have restarted!”-a voice sounded on the intercom

“Shinji! Rei get out of there!”-Misato tells them.

“Negative! They will stay and fight! Do not argue with me captain!”-Gendo calls out

Misato is fuming now, how can this man be so cold at the fate of these children

The black angel made a second rampage at the Angel, only to be stopped as Sachiel attempts to defend itself using its AT Field. The brute angel found a sudden halt and bounced back

“AT-Field...”-Ritsuko screams

“We can't... as long as the Angel has its AT-Field”-Misato begins

“... no harm can't touch the Angel.”-Ritsuko finished for her.

The Angel regenerated its broken arm, as the separate muscles twisting and wrapping themselves back into the proper place and the two ends of the break just reunited in a flash of light from both ends.

The black and golden angel spread its own A.T. Field and eroded the Angels A.T. Field with its own, as its use its claws to ripped open by the middle.

“The second angel is expanding its own AT-Field. It's neutralizing the phase space”-Maya informs looking the graphs of the at field bend and merged

“No, it's breaking through”-Ritsuko corrects her

With little bit of difficulty the black and golden angel ripped open Sachiel’s AT-Field, as small treads tried to keep it together.

“It break through that AT-Field so easily, as if wasn’t there”-an astonish Misato commented

The black and golden angel moves its head in an erratic motion towards its opponents and snarl like rabid beast.

Sachiel lit his eyes and used its cross-blast weapon against the Angel to no effect. The attack drew a Christian-cross shape on the city and the fire passed by the Evangelions and their overwhelmed pilots.

Shinji gets up and is ready to get to rei and lift her Eva and attempt lead her away, but to their bad luck Sachiel attempted to blast them.

The angels eyes lit in herald of the attack... But to her surprise the black angel, put itself in the middle and receive the blast with full force.

Back on its position, Sachiel began lifting his arms to use his spears, but the black and golden angel proceeded to grab both of Sachiel's arms with its left hand and broke them with a sharp snap, then punched the red orb in its chest and kicked Sachiel into a building ripping of his hands.

The black and golden angel leaned forward heavily and charged up, pushing the Sachiel through many buildings and once it had pinned Sachiel down, it proceeds to assault its Core, then broke off pieces of bone from Sachiel's exterior ribs ripping them off his body spilling blue blood all over the street and repeatedly drove them into the Angel's core, slowly cracking it.

Realizing it was on the verge of defeat, Sachiel once more adapted itself to give its body a goo-like consistently then jumped onto it's opponent, first it blasted both Evangelions hurting the pilots, wrapped itself around the black and golden angel.

“It's gonna self-destruct! Shinji! Rei! get out of there!”-Misato yells

Sachiel began to turn into a big swallowed balloon of blood and venues texture glowing from its interior, and self-destructed. A huge explosion follows, and a cross of light erupts into the sky, the resulting rain of blood actually creates a rainbow by the light passing through the liquid.

The entirety of NERV watches in awe as the black and golden angel emerges from the inferno, with only moderate damage.

Tired and with its armor sizzling the creature feels on its knees, and stumbles, into the building next to it, half its body buried in.

With Shinji in shock and the system almost unresponsive, Unit-01 suddenly reactivates. Shinji approaches to the angel.

“Shinji?...”-Misato calls him

Down for now Shinji had the perfect opportunity to prove himself to his father by killing this angel.  But how can he killed a living creature specially one who has save them

“Shinji. Take it down”-Gendo orders

Shinji hesitates-“...but he helped us.”

“It’s an angel, Take it down!”-Gendo adds

“But...”-Shinji was hurting and confused

“Take it down!”-Gendo orders

Finally Shinji passed out from the pain, his Evangelion was left standing.

“What’s the pilots condition”-Misato calls out the staff

“Unconscious, but both alive”-Maya responds

“My god...”-Misato whispers

Silence filled the atmosphere, Nerv was aghast at the battle and the results. Both Evangelions were down, there performances were less than inspiring, and now Nerv has another mystery.

What is this creature that just help them?
